About Alessio Morley-Fletcher:
Dr. Alessio Morley-Fletcher is a pediatric hospitalist and urgent care attending physician at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he also serves as Co-Chair of the Department of Pediatrics’ Effective AI Implementation Committee. He is Director of Pediatric Simulation at South Shore Hospital and Co-Lead for Physician Wellness across the Boston Children’s Hospital Network. In 2024, he received the Boston Children’s Hospital MSO Faculty Ingenuity Award.
A thought leader for the HLTH Health Systems & Hospital Innovation community, Dr. Morley-Fletcher is also Founder and CEO of AngeliXon, winner of the 2025 Global Hackathon on “Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI,” hosted by Harvard’s Health Systems Innovation Lab.
With experience across U.S. and European healthcare systems and as a guest lecturer for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Medical Services, he brings a systems-based, patient-centered approach to pediatric care and innovation. His work focuses on empowering patients, promoting clinician well-being, and advancing health equity through the thoughtful integration of digital health and AI.
Dr. Morley-Fletcher believes that AI will not replace physicians, but rather colleagues who know how to use it responsibly. His current research focuses on the benefits and risks of AI in pediatrics to protect vulnerable populations and support clinicians. His background spans pediatric gastroenterology, hospital medicine, simulation, systems engineering, coaching, and resiliency training. He completed executive programs at MIT Sloan and Harvard Business School, and holds certifications in Gestalt coaching, mind-body medicine, and physician peer support.
