Currently serving as the CIO at Dayton Children’s Hospital, he leads a dynamic team 125 overseeing Infrastructure & Operations, Cybersecurity, Project Management, Workday ERP, and Epic EHR within a $600 million pediatric integrated delivery network.
Retired from the Air Force Medical Service Corps, JD holds an MPH in Health Policy and Management from UCLA and an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. His diverse career includes roles in government, vendor, and private sector provider organizations. Notably, he was the vice president of Enterprise Intelligence at Bon Secours Mercy Health, where he spearheaded initiatives in Enterprise Data Warehouse, Epic EHR Analytics, Population Health BI, and Data Management for a $6 billion integrated delivery network.
Beyond his military and healthcare career, Whitlock also guest lectures at esteemed institutions like Penn State, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Dayton.
