About Jim Kuiphof:

Jim Kuiphof, MSIA, is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and head of the Cyber Fusion Center of Corewell Health. Corewell Health was formed by the coming together of Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health in 2022. As the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, Jim has responsibility for the design, implementation, and operations of the enterprise-wide information security program. As the head of the Cyber Fusion Center, Jim is accountable for all aspects of the cyber resilience of Corewell Health divisions, including business engagement, attack surface management, threat intelligence, threat response, defense, and forensics. Before his current Corewell Health role, Jim was the Director of Information Security and was responsible for security architecture, portfolio management, cyber resilience and response, and digital identity. Before joining Spectrum Health in 2015, Jim served as the Director of Information Security governance at Johnson Controls. He was responsible for information security program governance and a multi-year $100 million transformation program. Jim has nearly 20 years of information security experience in various roles and industries. He holds degrees in information systems and information assurance. His work experience includes publishing, manufacturing, property and liability insurance, healthcare, and health insurance. He is a student of good leaders and strives to be a mentor and role model of compassionate, servant leadership.
